The Term Investment means locking away your money for a certain duration and expecting a profit. This is ideally what every one would like but sometimes the investments result in losses and on cashing out the investment, you get back less than what you invested. This is known as a Capital Loss. main difference is that it offers a guarantee upon death (100% principal protection) and at minimum 75% at fund maturity. Fees for Segregated Funds?

I Have Never Heard Of Segregated Funds

Since these can only be offered by insurance companies, they haven’t been mass marketed, however they are popular.
